CHAPTER 5

 

Engagement  day

The house  was decorated with fairy lights it looked beautiful after all it was Ariya’s engagement.everybody was running from here to there,chotu was taking care of the catering people,riya’s mom was looking after the decoration and riya’s father was checking the guest list and taking care of the security after all it was a merger of india’s two biggest business companies….the business partners were going to turn in to relitives  for the second time and every body was very exited for that

The raute family had come…aparna did arjun’s aarti and asked him to come in and enter with his right foot.he touched aparna and abhay’s feet to take blessings…aparna and abhay felt blessed to have such amazing son in laws for their daughters.

Arjun eyes were roaming everywhere when shree nudged him and said kisko dhund raha humari pyari si hone waali bhabhi ko..arjun looked away embarrassed and said shut up shree jab tera time aaega na tab tujhe dekh lunga.

They all were chatting merely when riya decended down the stairs she looked like a beautiful fairy in that peacock blue color lehenga…arjun could not take his eyes off of her…riya slightly lifted her head and looked at him she blushed at the way he was looking at her…she looked again and even she could not take her eyes off of him he looked like a prince in that violet sherwani..

The pandit ji called both of them and said that the auspicious time had come where the would be husband and wife will complete  their step as to accepting each other in their lives…

They took their seats opposite each other the panditji applied tika to both of them.

Aparna came there and and did their ashirwaad and other family members followed the same ritual.

Aparna then tied a raksha dhaga on arjun’s right hand and so did roshni do the same thing to riya.

The paditji asked both of them to exchange rings…riya made arjun wear a beautiful platinum ring and so did arjun.

Everyone clapped and blessed the new couple.

Arjun loked here and there when he saw people bussy with them selves he held riya’s hand and took her to the balcony for some private time.

Riya:arjun kya kar rahe hai aap,what if anybody sees

Arjun:so what I am talking to my fiancée spending some quality time with her not with some strange hot girl….

Riya glared at him pulled him closer to her grabbing his color and whispered mr arjun suryakant raute if you ever I mean ever praise any other girl in front of me or behind my back I will chop you into pieces and feed you to vultures.you only belong to me and I to you.do you understand that.

Arjun instead of being scared of her this avatar seemed to enjoy this possessive strieke of hers,he leaned in more and slightly pecked her lips,riya was shocked for a second and then smiled at what she heard next he said that for the first time in my life I feel I belong to some one riya and it feels amazing please never leave me stay with me for ever.i love you,I love you too arjun and I will never leave you cause now I think without you I would cease to breath.he pulled her closer and hugged her tightly his hands roaming on her bare waist riya kissed his chest..they were feeling each other lost in the moment.

They both came out from their passionate hug as they heard a glass breaking sound from behind them as they turned they saw roshni and sameer  standing behind them

A few minutes earlier aparna had asked roshni to find arjun  and riya as these two had seemingly disappeared it is their engagement party and before the guests notice that they are missing and start questioning them about the would be bride and grooms whereabouts find them and bring them back 

Roshni nodded and as she was searching for them she crashed into sameer,sameer saw his wife tense so he asked shona kya hua itni pareshaan kyun ho,sameer dekhiye na itne saare guests hai aur arjun aur riya gayab hai,sameer said ohho so whats there to worry about they must be together only,and whats wrong they are spending some time with each other and they should after all they are going to spend their lives together its good that they get to know each other a bit better.

Roshni said that they are going to spend their lives together na toh they have their whole life to figure out eachother aur sameer mujhe aur pareshaan na karee k toh itne saare mehmaan hai pata nahi kya sochenge yeh dono aise irr responsible kaise ho sakte hai,sameer seeing his wife so upset relented and then said that chalo saath mein dhoondte hai,they searched everywhere but finally they found them in the back yard in that position,sameer got embarrassed seeing them like that and roshni was shocked to see them like that so the glass she was holding slipped from her hand and crashed onto the floor when she saw riya and arjun suddenly moving away from each other after recovering from the shock of seeing them like that she felt her blood boiling with rage…she felt like tearing riya away from arjun.
